Hetalia x Reader: Brink of Death *Japan*
While you waited for your crush to pick up his cell phone you pet the adorable kitten that he had given you for your birthday last year. It reminded you so much of him with its big brown eyes, how it never seemed to get angry, how laid back it was, and how it seemed to have a hard time showing its feelings.
"Kon'nichiwa, this is the State of Japan speaking; how may I help you?" Japan said politely once he answered the phone.
"Hey, J-Japan, I need to ask you a *coughcough* a favor." You said between coughs.
"(First name)-san! That cough sounds horrible; are you alright?" He demanded with concern coloring his tone.
"I-I'm fine, Japan, it's just a little *coughcoughhack* a little cough, besides I've been through worse." You said all while cursing your cough for quickly getting worse.
"It is not a 'little cough', (firsts name)-san, and you shouldn't have to go through things like this at all to begin with!" Japan huffed in slight irritation.
"Please d-don't worry, Japan, I-I'll be fine! *hackhackhack*," You said but when you pulled your sleave away you saw that it was stained with the bright crimson color of your blood and your vision began to turn fuzzy and dark, "oh, dear..."
"(First name)-san! (First name), answer me, please!!" Japan was screaming but you simply gave into the darkness that pulled at your mind.
~~**~~ And over where Japan is flipping out ~~**~~
"What is wrong, aru? What happened to (first name)?" China was saying but Japan payed his elder brother no heed once he heard the tell tale thump of (first name) passing out and collapsing onto the floor.
"China, fill me in after the meeting; I need to see if (First name) is alright!" Japan cried in distress before running off to reach (first name)'s house as quickly as he could.
~~**~~ Japan reaches (First name)'s house... by running ~~**~~
Japan didn't even stop to rest before kicking down the front door to (first name)'s house and rushing to the sitting room where he found (first name) passed out on the floor.
"(First name)!" Japan shouted as he got down on his knees beside her gracefull, but currently frail and unconscious, form and was horrified when he saw that she had stopped breathing. Without even a second thought he began to use CPR in a desperate attempt to get her to breathe on her own again.
~~**~~ After a few moments of desprate mouth to mouth *wink wink* ~~**~~
With a rough and painful gasp of breath you came to to find your crush and best friend, Japan, kneeling above you staring at you with pure relief on his features.
"J-Japan?? W-what are you doing here?!" You gasped in shock as a dark blush blossomed across your face.
"Kore wa dono yōna monode wa arimasen! I mean, this is not what it looks like!" Japan exclaimed in embarressment.
"I wasn't breathing, was I, Japan? You saved my life, right? If that's true then there is nothing to be embarressed about and I'm glad that you did save me." You mumbled awkwardly but you let out a surprised squeak-like noise when he suddenly embraced you without any sort of warning.
"Don't you ever scare me like that again, (first name)! For a while I thought that I would never have the chance to tell you that I love you!" Japan nearly sobbed.
"... You didn't put an honorific on my name and you let me into your personal space, Kiku." You managed to say as you joyfully returned his embrace.
"Ah! I didn't offend you did I, (first name)-san?" Japan exclaimed and he tried to pull away but you refused to let him.
"Chigau! No, I doubt  that you would ever be able to offend me, Kiku, so please don't leave me..." You mumbled and you blushed an even darker shade of red as you switched to using his human name.
"... Does that mean that you love me too, (first name)?" Kiku asked as he returned to holding you in his loving embrace.
"Yes, it does..." You finally admitted after a moment. Kiku gave you the smallest of smiles before giving you a chaste kiss on the forehead.
"That is good, because I'm taking you home with me before these horrid conditions make your illness even worse than they are now." He said before lifting you into his arms in a bridal carry and began to walk with you all the way to his home. You giggled before snuggling up against his chest before getting a mischivous grin on your face.
"Do you want to take a bath with me when we get there?" You asked with false innocence and Kiku instantly blushed and had a massive nose-bleed.
